«Odysseus’s course across the Mediterranean is charted from the Levant westward. We have silent, solid witnesses of his legendary wanderings and the encounter of the Greek world with the Mediterranean cultures: they are objects, passed from hand to hand, transported heaped in a ship’s hold, recreated by the skillful hands of a craftsman. They have survived the shipwreck of antiquity, and for us they are the words of an eternal story, still bearing witness to the cult of a hero…».

Mixing and melting of peoples, history, civilization, and also of typography: these are the terms of reference for the visual identity of the exhibition. Based on alternation between serif and sans-serif type in the proportions of Roman Capital, the title design takes its cue from the relationship between these apparently different worlds, echoing through all the narrative of the exhibition designed by Bernard Tschumi Architects.
