Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos
Disassembly into fragments and modular repetition – key factors in the architecture of Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano – are the basic elements of the visual identity created for the exhibition, which uses typography to complement the exhibit design by the two Madrid-based architects. Known for their designs of museums and renovations of historical buildings, the architects often resort to the written word to integrate their practice. Hence, the design choice of setting their statement of poetics: The window and the mirror, on the large glazing that faces outward, simultaneously a visual filter and a mirror of the contents.

La scomposizione in frammenti e la ripetizione modulare, chiavi dell’architettura di Fuensanta Nieto e Enrique Sobejano, sono gli elementi fondativi del progetto di identità visiva della mostra, declinato attraverso interventi tipografici nell’allestimento curato dai due architetti madrileni. Noti per le architetture museali e per i recuperi di edifici storici, guidano volentieri l’interpretazione dei loro progetti, con temi anche molto diversi, attraverso la scrittura; scrittura che in mostra si ritrova nella dichiarazione di poetica, La finestra e lo specchio, riportata sulla grande vetrata che si affaccia sull’esterno: al tempo stesso filtro visivo e specchio dei contenuti.
