State of the Net 2018
The geometric grid as a metaphor of the network: in the 2018 edition of the conference on the state of art of the internet in Italy and in the world, the design principle is interpreted by a responsive typeface. Triggered by the theme “consequences”, the monospaced font adapts to the conditions at the edges of the composition thanks to the use of nine contextual alternatives for each glyph.
La griglia geometrica come metafora della rete: nell’edizione 2018 di State of the Net, conferenze annuali dedicate al mondo dei network digitali, il principio si traduce visivamente nel disegno di un carattere tipografico responsivo. Ispirato dal tema “conseguenze” cui è dedicata la conferenza, il carattere monospaziato rispetta le condizioni ai limiti della composizione attraverso l’uso di nove alternative contestuali per ogni glifo.
